Top of the State (9 Man) recap Oct. 23, 2012
Stephen-Argyle Central extended the longest winning streak in Top of the State (9 Man) this week by beating Clearbrook-Gonvick, 33-6. The victory was the eighth in a row for the team.
Goodridge-Grygla Chargers led the league in scoring this week after putting up 47 points on Sacred Heart. Daniel Polansky threw for 117 yards and three touchdowns and ran for 95 yards in the win.
The Chargers' offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. On the ground Justin Kiesow chipped in 105 yards. Carter Burks helped Goodridge-Grygla Chargers' passing attack out by catching one ball for 53 yards.
Tra Alderete was the best wideout in the league this week as Goodridge-Grygla Chargers defeated the Eagles. Alderete tallied three receptions for 64 yards.
Goodridge-Grygla Chargers' offense has been unstoppable this season and the Chargers feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Hunter McMillin has thrown for 560 yards and seven touchdowns this season, while Alderete has 17 catches for 332 yards. Polansky leads the league in rushing with 1733 yards.
