The Erie Royals won the last time they faced the Fort LeBoeuf Bison, and things went their way on Thursday too. Erie walked away with a 37-26 victory over the Bison. Given Erie's advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 121st, while the Bison are ranked 464th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Leading Erie to victory were Arianah Reap and Draya Neavins. Reap dropped a double-double on 14 points and 16 rebounds, while Neavins scored 13 points along with six steals.
Erie has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season. As for Fort LeBoeuf, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-12.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Erie's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Huskies at 12:00 p.m. on February 5th. As for Fort LeBoeuf, they will face off against the Ramblers at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. The timing is sure in Cathedral Prep's favor as the squad sits on five straight wins at home while the Bison have been banged up by nine consecutive losses on the road dating back to last season.
