Anjanette Taguinod was the offensive standout of the match as she scored 22 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Ella Scott, who scored eight points along with 17 rebounds.
Ygnacio Valley's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Sa'rye Starks, who scored 17 points along with six steals and five rebounds. Starks is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of K'Si Brooks, who scored six points along with ten rebounds and five steals.
Ygnacio Valley struggled to work together and finished the game with only three assists. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Clayton Valley Charter racked up 17 assists.
Clayton Valley Charter's win bumped their record up to 12-7. As for Ygnacio Valley, they bumped their record down to 12-8 with that loss, which was their fourth straight at home.
