Heritage proved they can win big last Wednesday (they won by 21) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Capuchino Mustangs 5-4. The victory was familiar territory for the Patriots, who have now won four contests in a row.

Heritage's win was truly a team effort as six different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Jett Guevara, who scored a run while going 3-for-4.

Heritage's victory bumped their record up to 8-1. As for Capuchino, they moved to 9-5 with that loss, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

Heritage has already played their next game, a 14-3 win against El Camino on the 5th. As for Capuchino, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, an 11-4 defeat against South San Francisco on the 4th.
