The North Saxons were the 65-48 winner over the Harvard-Westlake Wolverines when they last played one another back in February of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. North fell just short of Harvard-Westlake by a score of 49-47.
Harvard-Westlake's win on Wednesday was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Valentina Guerrero, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and 15 rebounds. Guerrero continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Angelina Habis, who scored 14 points along with 7 rebounds.
North's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Harvard-Westlake, their victory bumped their record up to 1-4.
Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing Leuzinger the next time they take the court. Harvard-Westlake will head out to face Leuzinger at 3:30 p.m. on Friday, while North will head out to face them at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday.
