The Warren Bears lost against the Lynwood Knights back in January of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. Warren was outmatched by Lynwood at home and fell 55-20. Warren was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 31-8.
Warren lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Moriah Sanders, who scored seven points. Blessing Sine was another key contributor, scoring five points.
Leading Lynwood to victory were Skyy Simmons and Taliyah Mcferson. Simmons scored 14 points along with seven rebounds, while Mcferson scored 14 points along with six rebounds and three steals. That makes it eight consecutive games in which Mcferson has scored at least 25% of Lynwood's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Storee Simmons, who scored five points along with six rebounds.
Warren now has a losing record at 7-8. As for Lynwood, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-9.
Warren will head out on the road to face off against Paramount at 5:15 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Paramount's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last 13 matches. As for Lynwood, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Gahr at 5:15 p.m. Gahr is looking to tack on another W to their four-game streak on the road.
