The Taylor Allderdice Dragons came tearing into Saturday's game with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 52.8 points) and they left with even more momentum. They took down Aliquippa 59-42. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Taylor Allderdice also won the last time the pair played back in January of 2019.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Taylor Allderdice to victory, but perhaps none more so than Logan Golle, who scored 23 points along with five assists and three steals. Golle is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last six games he's played. Another player making a difference was Major Rainey, who scored 16 points along with five rebounds and four blocks.
Taylor Allderdice pushed their record up to 11-2 with that victory, which was their third straight at home. They've been dominating during the matches in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 55.33 points. As for Aliquippa, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 10-4.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Taylor Allderdice will stay at home for another game and welcome Brashear at 7:00 p.m. on January 22nd. Brashear will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Pennsylvania Rankings (they are ranked 405th, while Taylor Allderdice is ranked 27th). As for Aliquippa, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Central Catholic at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
