The Bishop Amat Lancers will square off against the Notre Dame (SO) Knights at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The timing is sure in Bishop Amat's favor as the team sits on eight straight wins at home while Notre Dame (SO) has been banged up by four consecutive losses on the road.
Bishop Amat's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Saturday. They skirted past Paraclete 1-0. The victory continues a trend for the Lancers in their matchups with the Spirits: they've now won three in a row.
Izaac Muniz looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over four innings pitched.

Meanwhile, Notre Dame (SO) earned a 7-4 win over Valencia last Friday.
Notre Dame (SO) also got a great performance from AJ LaSota as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out six over six innings pitched. LaSota also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because the Knights are 4-2 when he allows at most one earned run, but 6-9 otherwise.
On the hitting side, Notre Dame (SO) let Dru Wilson and Dominic Cadiz run wild. Wilson got on base in all three of his plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one double, while Cadiz went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Jake Norolan, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.
Notre Dame (SO) hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Valencia struck out eight times.
Notre Dame (SO) has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 10-11 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games. As for Bishop Amat, their win bumped their record up to 18-4.
Bishop Amat couldn't quite get it done against Notre Dame (SO) in their previous meeting back in February of 2020 as they fell 6-2. Will the Lancers have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check back here after the action for a full breakdown and analysis of the contest.
