Willows is 1-8-1 against Williams since December of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Willows Honkers will head out on the road to challenge the Williams Yellowjackets at 3:00 p.m. Willows is no doubt hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses.
For the first time this season, Willows was forced to settle for a draw. Neither they nor Pierce could gain the upper hand on Thursday so the two teams had to settle for a 2-2 draw.
Willows avoided a loss thanks to
Damaris Martinez and
Ciara Aguilar, who posted both of Willows' goals. The pair have combined for a total of 11 so far this season.
Meanwhile, after soaring to four goals the game before, Williams were a bit more limited in their game on Friday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Paradise.
Willows' draw makes their record 3-16-1 this season. As for Williams, their loss dropped their record down to 6-8-3.
Willows came up short against Williams in their previous meeting back in December of 2023, falling 2-0. Can Willows avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
