Veritas Academy is 2-7 against Mount Calvary Christian since February of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Veritas Academy Monarch will be playing in front of their home fans against the Mount Calvary Christian Chargers at 6:00 p.m.
Veritas Academy has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They took a 50-33 bruising from Lancaster County Christian on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, Mount Calvary Christian had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 30.3 points), and they went ahead and made it five on Tuesday. They managed a 40-35 victory over New Covenant Christian.
Veritas Academy's loss ended a nine-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-3. As for Mount Calvary Christian, their win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-3.
Veritas Academy suffered a grim 46-24 defeat to Mount Calvary Christian in their previous meeting back in January of 2023. The matchup was all but decided by halftime, at which point Veritas Academy was down 34-8.
