Hilldale came tearing into Monday's game with 13 straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They were the clear victors by a 9-3 margin over the Sallisaw Black Diamonds. Considering the Hornets have won 16 matchups by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Hilldale pushed their record up to 22-2 with the victory, which was their 13th straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.4 runs on average over those games. As for Sallisaw, their defeat ended a nine-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 18-4.

Sallisaw has already played their next contest (against Coyle), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Hilldale will be paying especially close attention to the Black Diamonds' game: after the Black Diamonds face off against the Bluejackets, they'll take on Hilldale again at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
