The Urban Blues are taking a road trip to challenge the University Red Devils at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Urban will aim to continue their four-game streak of scoring more runs each match than the last.
Urban is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They put the hurt on Making Waves Academy with a sharp 21-9 win on Friday. Considering the Blues have won four contests by more than six runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Aaron Knupp made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-5 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. He has become a key player for Urban: the team is 3-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 4-5 otherwise.
In other batting news, Kaden Fox-Gabel was incredible, going 1-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and one triple. He is becoming a predictor of Urban's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 3-1 (and 4-5 when he doesn't). The team also got some help courtesy of Benji Dawes, who got on base in four of his six plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
Urban always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .542. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
Meanwhile, it may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but University ultimately got the result they hoped for on Saturday. They had just enough and edged out Woodside 5-4. The victory was familiar territory for the Red Devils, who have now won 11 games in a row.
The team relied heavily on Jett Messenger, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. That's the most hits he has posted since back in March. Owen Chee was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double.
University's win was their seventh straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 16-1. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.9 runs over those games. As for Urban, they now have a winning record of 7-6.
Tuesday's matchup might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Urban has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .440. However, it's not like University struggles in that department as they've averaged .523. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Urban suffered a grim 10-3 defeat to University in their previous matchup back in March of 2024. Can the Blues avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
