Old Forge is 1-9 against Mid Valley since April of 2021 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Blue Devils will take on the Spartans at 2:00 p.m. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
While Old Forge's victory against Naples wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Blue Devils narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Golden Eagles 5-3.
Kamryn Notari spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three runs (all of which were unearned) on seven hits and racked up ten Ks.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Ava Arnold, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played dating back to last season. The team also got some help courtesy of Juliette DeStefano, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base and one RBI.
Meanwhile, Mid Valley had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9.3 runs) and they went ahead and made it four on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 10-2 margin over the Bucks. The Spartans might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three games by six runs or more this season.
Mid Valley also let their pitcher toss all seven innings and she was also dialed-in: Ava Hazelton gave up just two earned runs on four hits and racked up nine Ks.
On the hitting side, Mid Valley got a massive performance out of Ariana Davey, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs. Those five RBI gave Davey a new career-high. Abbey Mackey also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.
Mid Valley was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .457. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .360 or higher in three consecutive matchups.
Mid Valley's record is now 4-1. As for Old Forge, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.
Old Forge suffered a grim 10-0 defeat to Mid Valley in their previous matchup back in April of 2025. Can the Blue Devils avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
