The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Merced in their matchups with Golden Valley: they've now lost four in a row.
Merced has been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-12 record this season. As for Golden Valley, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-3-3.
