Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a  season-high score is even better (just ask High Tech SD). They never let the High Tech Mesa Thunder get on the board and left with  a   19-0  victory  on Saturday. The  win was familiar territory for the Storm, who have now won three  matches in a row.
 Devon Caris made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound,   tossing two innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   two  hits. He also  tossed  no  earned runs, which is notable because High Tech SD is 4-1 when he allows at  most  two  earned runs, but 1-4 otherwise. Caris was also big at the plate,  scoring three  runs while going 2-for-4. Those  three  runs gave  him a new career-high.
 In other batting news, High Tech SD let  Jesse Rubio and  Diego Martinez run wild. Rubio  went a perfect 3-for-3 with three  runs and four  RBI, while  Martinez  scored two  runs and  stole a base while going 2-for-3. That's the most  hits  Rubio has posted since back in May of 2024.  Landon Carroll was another key player,  scoring three  runs and  stealing a base while  getting on base  in four of his five plate appearances.
 High Tech SD  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .641. That's the best  OBP they've posted all season.
The  victory  got High Tech SD back to even at 5-5. As for High Tech Mesa,  they are  on  a  six-game losing streak  (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.
 Both  squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. High Tech SD will have some time to savor their  win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Hoover at 4:00  p.m.  on  the 15th. As for High Tech Mesa, they will challenge Gompers Prep Academy at 3:30  p.m.  on Tuesday.
