After a string of three wins, Saegertown's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They fell to Cochranton 46-41. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Saegertown in their matchups with the Cardinals: they've now lost five in a row.
Meanwhile, Union City unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-game winning streak on Thursday. They took a 55-48 hit to the loss column at the hands of Maplewood.
Saegertown's defeat dropped their record down to 8-10. As for Union City, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 8-10.
Saegertown ended up a good deal behind the Bears when the teams last played back in January, losing 45-31. Can Saegertown avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
