Trey Bauer Delivers Best Performance of Season
Sadly, Trey Bauer posting his best game of the season wasn't enough to lead Horseshoe Bend over Salmon River on Friday. Bauer rushed for 251 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 9.7 yards per carry. He showed off some serious burst, cutting through the defense on one rush that went for 61 yards.
Horseshoe Bend is on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5. Bauer will try to repeat (or improve) on that dominant performance when he faces off against Tri-Valley on Friday.

Maxon Yearsley's Rushing Yards a New Career-High
Maxon Yearsley posted a new career-high in rushing yards on Friday. He picked up 183 receiving yards and two touchdowns, and also rushed for 99 yards and a touchdown on only seven carries. He really caught the secondary sleeping when he pulled down a catch that went for 92 yards.
For the season, Yearsley has caught 9 touchdowns while averaging 91 receiving yards per game. That doesn't tell the whole story though: at this point last year, he had one rushing touchdown. This year he is already up to six.

Council Wins Fifth-Straight Thanks to Owen Hatfield
Owen Hatfield was instrumental in extending Council's winning streak to five on Friday. Hatfield's rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 183 rushing yards. He also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, forcing a fumble and making seven total tackles.
For the year, Hatfield has averaged 202.9 rushing yards per game.

Jace Waggoner Turns in Another Game with at Least 168 Rushing Yards
Jace Waggoner continued his hot streak on Friday by dropping his fourth-straight game with at least 168 rushing yards. He rushed for 168 yards and two touchdowns, and also threw for 118 yards on only six passes.
Tri-Valley's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-1. Waggoner and Tri-Valley will welcome Horseshoe Bend at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Rounding off our Top Five is Cole Olson of Cascade. Olson rushed for 80 yards and a touchdown on only seven carries, and also picked up 63 receiving yards and a touchdown. His longest rush was for an impressive 51 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total.
On the season, Olson has caught those 1 touchdown while averaging 34.8 receiving yards per game.
