The Righetti Warriors suffered their closest defeat yet this season on Tuesday. They fell just short of Arroyo Grande by a score of 49-46. Righetti was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Arroyo Grande apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January of 2023.
Righetti's loss came despite strong showings from Bree Luna and Martha Durazo. Luna scored 16 points, while Durazo scored nine points along with 13 rebounds and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Charlotte Peterson, who scored five points.
Righetti's defeat dropped their record down to 13-7. As for Arroyo Grande, their victory bumped their record up to 16-5.
Righetti will head out on the road to challenge Sierra Pacific at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Arroyo Grande, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Nipomo at 6:30 p.m. Nipomo is hoping to put an end to a five-game streak of away losses.
