They were the victim of a rough 68-48 defeat at the hands of Leake Academy on Tuesday. Oak Hill Academy has struggled against Leake Academy recently, as their contest on Tuesday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Leake Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Marleigh Myers, who scored 11 points along with five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Anna Morgan Young, who scored 14 points.
Oak Hill Academy's loss ended a seven-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-3. As for Leake Academy, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 19-3.
Oak Hill Academy will be playing at home against Canton Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Canton Academy comes in still looking for their first win of the season. Leake Academy's road trip will continue as they head out to face Wayne Academy at 6:00 p.m. on January 4th. Wayne Academy will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Mississippi Rankings (they are ranked 226th, while Leake Academy is ranked eighth).
