String Theory were the 48-37 winner over the Sayre Sabres when they last played one another back in January of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. String Theory wound up with the same score they had in their last game (42-38), but sadly the team found themselves on the wrong side of the score this time.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Sayre to victory, but perhaps none more so than Brionn Veal-Coston, who scored 22 points along with eight rebounds and two blocks. That makes it six consecutive games in which Veal-Coston has scored at least a third of Sayre's points. Kwaudia Carter Lewis was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with seven rebounds.
String Theory's loss dropped their record down to 8-3. As for Sayre, their victory bumped their record up to 6-2.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. String Theory will challenge MAST Charter II at 3:15 p.m. on Monday. MAST Charter II comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 25 points in their last three games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse. As for Sayre, they will head out on the road to take on Swenson Arts & Tech at 3:15 p.m. on Monday. Swenson Arts & Tech comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
