Phinn Thomas made a splash while hitting and pitching. He tossed 3.2 innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs but no hits. What's more, he posted two strikeouts, the most he's had since back in June of 2025. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Tono Borgomini, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in June of 2025.
Meanwhile, Everett Alvarez came up short against Rancho San Juan on Thursday and fell 5-2. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Cody Victoriano was cooking despite his team's loss, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played.
Stevenson's victory bumped their record up to 9-3. As for Everett Alvarez, their loss dropped their record down to 3-9.
Everett Alvarez's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Stevenson hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .326. It's a different story for Everett Alvarez, though, as they've only averaged .240. Will they be able to contain Stevenson's hitters?
