In other batting news, Savannah Rawls was incredible, getting on base in all five of her plate appearances with five runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in hits (three). Kate Graichen was another key player, going 3-for-5 with five RBI, two runs, and one double.
Cedar Shoals kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Discovery only managed four hits.
Cedar Shoals' record is now 3-4. As for Discovery, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-3.
