After a string of three wins, the Ridgeview Wolf Pack's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They fell just short of Frontier by a score of 59-56. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Ridgeview lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Aubrey Aldan, who scored 16 points along with eight rebounds and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Kenadi Walton, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and ten rebounds.
Even though they lost, Ridgeview smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 20 offensive rebounds. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Frontier only pulled down 12 offensive rebounds.
Frontier's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Alexis Tinnin, who scored 16 points along with eight rebounds and three steals. Tinnin hasn't dropped below 16 points for four straight games. Lailene Araniva was another key contributor, scoring 16 points along with eight rebounds.
Ridgeview's defeat dropped their record down to 11-10. As for Frontier, their win bumped their record up to 16-7.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Ridgeview will take on the Falcons at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Frontier, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Mustangs at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Stockdale will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 1030th, while the Titans are ranked 393rd).
