York and Lyons are an even 5-5 against one another since May of 2022, but likely not for long. The Dukes will venture away from home to take on the Lions at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. York will be looking to extend their current ten-game winning streak.
On Wednesday, York got the win against Proviso West by a conclusive 16-6. The result was nothing new for the Dukes, who have now won nine matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Nathan Rickenbrode looked comfortable as he struck out six batters over 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and only one walk). Those six strikeouts gave him a new career-high.
On the hitting side, Josh Fleming was a standout: he got on base in all four of his plate appearances with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Marco Giorno, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Lyons, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They walked away with a 4-0 win over Glenbard West on Wednesday. The Lions haven't had any issues with the Hilltoppers recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.
Tommy Georgelos was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. Lou Ratcliffe also deserves some recognition as he hit his first triple of the season.
York pushed their record up to 15-1 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.8 runs over those games. As for Lyons, their record now sits at 11-4.
Everything went York's way against Lyons in their previous matchup on Tuesday, as York made off with a 13-6 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Dukes since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
