The Calaveras Red Hawks have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three matchups by 22 points or more this season. They blew past Waterford 61-19 at home. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 33-10.
Ginger Scheidt continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 21 points along with seven steals and five rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which she has scored at least 25% of Calaveras' points. The team also got some help courtesy of Emma Clark, who scored seven points along with ten steals and seven rebounds.
Calaveras is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season. As for Waterford, they have fallen quite a ways from their 20-9 record last season and are now at 3-7.
Calaveras will be home for the holidays to greet Stagg at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Waterford, they will head out on the road to face off against Summerville at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
