On Monday, John Bartram was beaten by the 72-40. While losing is never fun, John Bartram can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 623rd, while the are ranked 95th).
It was another big night for Jocelyn Goldstein, who dropped a double-double on 36 points and ten rebounds for Masterman. That makes it 15 consecutive games in which Goldstein has scored at least a third of Masterman's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Sophia Brunelli, who scored 18 points along with eight rebounds and five steals.
John Bartram's loss dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Masterman, their victory bumped their record up to 16-1.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. John Bartram will face off against the Trojans at 3:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Olney is out to stop a three-game streak of losses at home. Masterman's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Lancers at 3:15 p.m. on February 2nd.
