The third road  contest was the charm for the Delta Panthers, as they earned their first road win of the season. They came out on top against Moffat County by a score of  71-63  on Saturday. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
 It was another big night for  Tucker Johnson, who  scored 22 points along with two  steals. He is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's  now  scored 15 or more in the last four games he's  played. Another player making a difference was  Joe Black, who  scored 13 points along with five  assists and four  steals.
 Moffat County's  defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of  Ian Champ hafey, who  dropped  a double-double on 13 points and 18  rebounds, and  Bryant Carlson who  scored 18 points along with five  assists and five  steals. Carlson is on a roll when it comes to  steals, as he's  now  grabbed two or more in the last three games he's  played.  Jr Welch was another key contributor,  scoring eight points.
 Even though they lost, Moffat County  smashed the offensive glass and  finished the game with 16  offensive rebounds. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Delta only pulled down nine  offensive rebounds.
 Delta's win bumped their record up to 5-8. As for Moffat County, they have  been struggling recently, as they've  lost five of their last six contests,  which put a noticeable dent in their 5-9 record this season.
 Delta and Basalt will face off  at 7:00  p.m.  on January 26th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Basalt and Delta are at an even 5-5 over their past ten head-to-heads. As for Moffat County, Moffat County and Steamboat Springs will face off  at 7:00  p.m.  on January 26th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another  in Colorado (Steamboat Springs is ranked 150th, while Moffat County is ranked 153rd).
