Calaveras has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will take on the Summerville Bears at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Calaveras focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 16 on Friday.
Last Friday, Calaveras slipped by Bret Harte 40-39.
Calaveras can attribute much of their success to Emma Clark, who scored seven points along with seven rebounds and five steals, and Izzy Tapia, who scored eight points along with 12 rebounds and three blocks. Clark hasn't dropped below two steals for six straight games.
Meanwhile, Summerville's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fifth straight loss. They lost to Argonaut on the road by a decisive 51-33 margin.
Calaveras has been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 13 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season. As for Summerville, their loss was their fifth straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 8-9.
Calaveras strolled past Summerville in their previous matchup on January 4th by a score of 52-36. The rematch might be a little tougher for Calaveras since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
