The Eminence Warriors will challenge the Trimble County Raiders at 8:15 p.m. on Monday. The two teams each escaped (but just barely!) with wins against their previous opponents.
The home team had won the previous four meetings between Eminence and Carroll County, and Eminence kept the tradition alive. The Warriors came out on top in a nail-biter against the Panthers on Tuesday, sneaking past 6-5. The win was some much needed relief for the Warriors as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.
Tanner Simpson spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned (and four unearned) runs on eight hits and racked up eight Ks. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't tossed less than eight strikeouts in four consecutive appearances.

Nolan Hunt was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching three innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. Hunt was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with five stolen bases and two runs. He has become a key player for Trimble County: the team is 4-2 when he posts at least two stolen bases, but 8-11 otherwise.
Hunt wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Liam Taylor, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run.
