La Joya Community has not had much luck with Desert Edge recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Several Fighting Lobos players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Makuach Makuei, who scored 12 points along with seven rebounds. Isaiah Carter was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with five rebounds and two blocks.
La Joya Community has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-17 record this season. As for Desert Edge, they pushed their record up to 13-8 with that win, which was their fifth straight at home.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. La Joya Community will take on Lake Havasu at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Lake Havasu is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. As for Desert Edge, they will head out on the road to face off against Millennium at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. One thing working in Millennium's favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season.
