The Desert Edge Scorpions routed the visiting La Joya Community Fighting Lobos basketball team by a final score of 80-46 in Thursday's league game.

In their next game, the Scorpions face the Millennium Tigers (Goodyear, AZ) in a 5A Desert West game, on Monday, January 22. Desert Edge will attempt to move on its 13-8 season record. The Tigers enter the game with a 15-4 record after their 69-68 non-league loss to Salesian College Preparatory (Richmond, CA).
