After two games on the road, Grimsley is heading back home. They will take on the Southwest Guilford Cowboys at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Grimsley's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last 16 games.
Even though Page scored an imposing 55 points on Friday, Grimsley still came out on top. Grimsley took their game against Page 66-55.
Grimsley's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Faizon Brandon, who almost dropped a double-double on 20 points and nine rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Nick Keith, who scored 16 points along with eight assists.
Meanwhile, Southwest Guilford came tearing into Friday's matchup with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 20.8 points) and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against Ragsdale by a score of 68-58. Given Southwest Guilford's advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 89th, while Ragsdale is ranked 444th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Grimsley has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 13 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 17-4 record this season. As for Southwest Guilford, they pushed their record up to 17-5 with that win, which was their fourth straight at home.
