Softball Recap: Omaha Central Wins Going Away Against Burke

While Omaha Central put up plenty of runs on Friday, the same can't be said for Burke. The Eagles blew past the Bulldogs 13-0. The result was nothing new for the Eagles, who have now won eight contests by eight runs or more so far this season.

Ada Jantzen was a standout: she went a perfect 2-for-2 with three stolen bases, three runs, and three RBI. Those three stolen bases gave her a new career-high. Macy Andrews was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base.

Omaha Central was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .500. They are 8-1 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Omaha Central moved to 10-8 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak. As for Burke, their loss dropped their record down to 3-11.

Omaha Central wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 16-0 win against Bryan on the 20th. As for Burke, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 9-5 victory against Buena Vista on the 20th.
