Aquinas is a perfect 10-0 against Linfield Christian since May of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Saturday. The Falcons will host the Lions at 11:00 a.m. Both teams are coming into the game red-hot, with Aquinas sitting on five straight victories and Linfield Christian on four.
It was a Battle of the Birds when Aquinas challenged Arrowhead Christian on Thursday. The Falcons blew past the Eagles 13-3. The result was nothing new for the Falcons, who have now won eight contests by seven runs or more so far this season.
Aquinas got a great performance from Hayden Vanderhoof as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out nine over five innings pitched. Those nine strikeouts gave Vanderhoof a new career-high.

On the hitting side, Jacob Bitonti was incredible, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and two doubles. Those two doubles gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Estaban Olazaba, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs and one RBI.
Aquinas kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Arrowhead Christian only managed four hits.
Meanwhile, Linfield Christian posted their closest win since March 18th on Thursday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Ontario Christian, sneaking past 4-3.
Noah Getz tossed a big game, striking out nine batters over 6.1 innings while giving up three earned runs off six hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Linfield Christian saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kai Carson, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI.
Aquinas pushed their record up to 20-2 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.1 runs over those games. As for Linfield Christian, their victory bumped their record up to 15-5-1.
Saturday's match will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Aquinas hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .347. However, it's not like Linfield Christian struggles in that department as they've averaged .323. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
