Ada extended their winning streak to five on Friday, bumping them up to 5-0. They enjoyed a cozy 49-35 victory over the Poteau Pirates. The Cougars have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Pirates, too.

Having lost for the first time this season, Poteau fell to 4-1. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Friday (31), they still had to take the loss.

Despite the loss, Poteau still got an impressive performance from Sam Tecla, who threw for 154 yards and a pair of TDs on only 13 passes, and also rushed for 104 yards. Spencer Perry helped out on the ground, rushing for 84 yards.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Ada is set to square off against their familiar foe Hilldale at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Poteau will face off against rival Glenpool at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
