The Earlville Red Raiders won the last time they faced the South Beloit Sobos, and things went their way on Friday too. Earlville snuck past the Sobos with a 44-38 win.
Madyson Olson continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 13 points along with eight rebounds and six steals. She has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last 11 times she's played. Elizabeth Vazquez was another key contributor, scoring six points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Earlville's win bumped their record up to 5-18. As for South Beloit, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 11-12.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Earlville will challenge the Huskers at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Serena will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak. As for South Beloit, they won't have much time to rest: their next match is against the Falcons at 11:00 a.m. on January 27th. Faith Christian is coming into the match on a five-game losing streak.
