Softball Recap: Central Comes Up Short

Central dropped down to 5-3 on Wednesday, ending the team's three-game streak of wins. They lost 18-0 to the Windsor Academy Knights. The Chargers were not able to make up for their defeat to the Knights from their previous meeting back in September of 2024.

Central saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was JaMyree Simmons, who went 1-for-2 with one triple.

As for Windsor Academy, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-3. That 18 run margin sets a new team best for them this season.

On Windsor Academy's side, Kyndall Bowen made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over five innings pitched. Bowen was also big at the plate, going a perfect 4-for-4 with three runs, three RBI, and two doubles. That's the most runs she has posted since back in September of 2024.

In other batting news, Abagail 'Abby' Price was a standout: she went 2-for-4 with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. She continues to improve, besting her previous run total in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Rayne Wesson, who went 2-for-4 with two runs and two RBI.

Central has already played their next game, a 14-0 victory against Dublin on the 4th. As for Windsor Academy, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 9-3 loss against Crisp Academy on the 4th.
