Make it three blowout wins for the Willow Glen Rams this season. They put the hurt on Santa Teresa with a sharp 55-30 win on Thursday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory Willow Glen has posted yet this season.
Willow Glen was led to victory by Lucia Diaz and Natalia Valerio. Diaz scored ten points along with five steals, while Valerio scored 17 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. Erin Robke was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with six assists and five rebounds.
Several Saints players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Nevaeh Lacy, who scored nine points along with seven rebounds and three steals. Lacy is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last ten games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Trinity Lacy, who scored eight points along with four steals.
Santa Teresa struggled to work together and finished the game with only two assists. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Willow Glen racked up ten assists.
Willow Glen's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-5. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.0 points per game. As for Santa Teresa, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-5.
