Washington is 9-1 against American since April of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. Washington will be playing in front of their home fans against American at 4:00 p.m. Washington will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each matchup than the last.
The home team had won the previous three meetings between Washington and Arroyo, and Washington kept the tradition alive. Washington was the clear victor by an 8-1 margin over Arroyo on Thursday. The contest marked the Huskies' most dominant win of the season so far.

Hugo Marks made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Washington is undefeated when he allows at most three earned runs, but 0-4 otherwise. Marks was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 1-for-3.
In other pitching news, Dylan Letke looked comfortable as he tossed four innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run any time he's pitched this season.
Back at the plate, the team relied heavily on Noah Paek, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-2. Those hits marked the first that he got this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Tyler Stevens, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2.
Meanwhile, American lost 15-2 to Amador Valley on Monday.
American saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jacob Yudashkin, who scored a run while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.
Washington's victory bumped their record up to 3-4. As for American, their loss dropped their record down to 1-6.
Everything went Washington's way against American in their previous meeting back in May of 2024, as Washington made off with a 9-2 win. Does Washington have another victory up their sleeve, or will American turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
