Kelvin Washington Turns in Season-Best Performance
Kelvin Washington produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Longview to the win on Friday. Washington rushed for 381 yards and six touchdowns while picking up 15.9 yards per carry, and also picked up 110 receiving yards and two touchdowns, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process.
For the season, Washington has caught 3 touchdowns while averaging 39.6 receiving yards per game. It gets even more impressive: after five games last season, he had six rushing touchdowns. This year he is already up to 11.

Rockwall Gets a Boost from Rickert in 63-34 Defeat
While Rockwall might've come up empty on Friday, Brent Rickert wasn't going down without a fight. Despite the defeat, Rickert was still balling out as he threw for 394 yards and five touchdowns.
Rockwall's loss dropped their record down to 3-3. Rickert and Rockwall will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Forney at 7:30 p.m. on October 18th.
