When it comes to explaining why Banning lost, one person who can't be blamed is Symora Prince. Despite the final result, she scored 20 points. Another player making a difference was Maryanne Palacios, who scored eight points.
Banning has been struggling recently, as they've lost 11 of their last 14 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-13 record this season. As for Yucca Valley, they pushed their record up to 21-4 with that victory, which was their eighth straight at home.
Banning will take on Coachella Valley at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Yucca Valley, they will head out on the road to square off against Cathedral City at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
