After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Tehachapi, the East Bakersfield Blades were happy to have found some success on Thursday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against South and snuck past 32-30. That's another feather in the cap for East Bakersfield, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
East Bakersfield's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Megan Sanders, who scored two points along with seven rebounds and six assists. Another player making a difference was Esmeralda Roman, who scored nine points along with two steals.
East Bakersfield has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 14-12 record this season. As for South, they dropped their record down to 7-16 with that loss, which was their fifth straight on the road.
Coincidentally, the pair will both be playing North the next time they take the court. East Bakersfield will head out to face the Stars at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Spartans will host them at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
