The Tipton Blue Devils will challenge the Sheridan Blackhawks at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a three-game winning streak alive.
While Tipton's win against Taylor wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Blue Devils had just enough and edged out the Titans 5-3.

Max Atherton spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered three earned runs on five hits and racked up seven Ks. He also tossed a walk, which is notable because Tipton is 2-1 when he allows at most one walk, but 7-15 otherwise.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Evan Coe, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base and one run. Jarren Auler also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.
Meanwhile, Sheridan narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Indy Genesis HomeSchool 4-3.
Braelan Bochner was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Bochner was also big at the plate, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three stolen bases and one double. He has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last five times he's played.
In other batting news, Jake Hall was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. That's the most hits he has posted since back in April.
Tipton's record is now 9-16. As for Sheridan, they now have a winning record of 12-11.
Tipton was able to grind out a solid win over Sheridan when the teams last played back in April, winning 7-4. Will the Blue Devils repeat their success, or do the Blackhawks have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
