Merritt dropped down to 6-3 on Monday, ending the team's three-game streak of wins. They lost  7-0 to the Mangum Tigers. The  contest marked the first time this year in which the Oilers were not able to get on the board.
As for Mangum, they pushed their record up to 16-6 with the  win, which was their fourth straight  on the road dating back to last season. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 matches by seven  runs or more this season.
For Mangum's part,  not much got past  Paelyn Clark, who gave up just  six  hits to keep Merritt off the board.
 On the hitting side,  the team  relied heavily on  Giselle Rowell, who  went 3-for-5 with three  RBI, one  run,  and one  double. Those  three  hits gave  her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of  Gracie Smith, who  went 3-for-4 with one  stolen base.
 Merritt does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Mangum, they are taking a road trip to  take on Frederick  at 4:30  p.m.  on Tuesday.
