The matchup between Hoover and Rock Academy  on Monday hardly resembled the  3-1 effort from their previous meeting.  Hoover's victory  ended  a  15-game drought at home  dating back to last season and  bumped them up to 2-6. As for Rock Academy, they dropped their record down to 2-3 with that  defeat, which was their eighth straight  on the road dating back to last season.
 Hoover will look to defend their home field  on Tuesday against Orange Glen at 4:00  p.m. As for Rock Academy, they will head out on the road to  challenge  El Cajon Valley at 4:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. El Cajon Valley is strutting in with some hitting muscle, as they've averaged 6.3  runs per game this season.
