Softball Recap: Northgate Sets Scoring Season-High Against Morrow

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Northgate). They never let the Morrow Mustangs get on the board and left with an 18-0 win on Tuesday. Winning may never get old, but the Vikings sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Ella Grace Kramer was a standout: she went 3-for-4 with four stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI. Those four stolen bases gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Trinity Hargrett, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run, two stolen bases, and two runs.

Northgate always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .767. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Morrow only posted an OBP of .000.

Northgate's victory bumped their record up to 11-3. As for Morrow, they are on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-10.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Northgate will take on Harris County at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Tigers' pitching crew has only allowed 1.6 runs per game this season, so the Vikings' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Morrow, they will challenge Mt. Zion at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
