The Flour Bluff Hornets will take on the Carroll Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Flour Bluff's pitching crew has only allowed 2.6 runs per game this season, so Carroll's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
Flour Bluff is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. Everything went their way against Cornerstone Christian on Saturday as they made off with a 15-2 win. The victory was nothing new for the Hornets as they're now sitting on three straight.

Flour Bluff got a massive performance out of Kolton Strey, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with four runs and two stolen bases. Those four runs gave Strey a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Jacob Waggener, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with three RBI and two doubles.
Flour Bluff always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .568. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Cornerstone Christian only posted an OBP of .391.
Meanwhile, Carroll won against Alice on Friday with five runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Tuesday. The Tigers beat the Coyotes by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 5-2.
Seth Martinez was excellent, going 3-for-4 with one stolen base and two RBI. That stolen base was his first of the season. Niko Caballero was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
Flour Bluff's win bumped their record up to 16-6-1. As for Carroll, their victory bumped their record up to 10-11.
Flour Bluff's speedy runners might be the difference in Friday's contest. The Hornets have been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.7 stolen bases per game. It's a different story for Carroll, though, as they've been averaging only 1.3 stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will Flour Bluff continue to outrun the ball?
Flour Bluff beat Carroll 4-1 in their previous meeting back in April of 2025. Will the Hornets repeat their success, or do the Tigers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
