The Shelton Gaels will finish 2023 at home by hosting the New Canaan Rams at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
On Wednesday, Shelton was able to grind out a solid win over New Milford, taking the game 59-50.
Meanwhile, New Canaan earned a 51-44 victory over Weston on Thursday.
The win got Shelton back to even at 1-1. As for New Canaan, the victory also got them back to even at 1-1.
Shelton came up short against New Canaan when the teams last played back in December of 2021, falling 45-40. Can Shelton avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
