The Central Catholic Raiders will challenge the Del Campo Cougars at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams each escaped (but just barely!) with wins against their previous opponents.
Central Catholic is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They won by a run and slipped past Twelve Bridges 7-6. The win was nothing new for the Raiders as they're now sitting on four straight.

Kayden McHenry was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over 5.2 innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off two hits. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in March. He was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in four of his six plate appearances with one home run.
McHenry wasn't the only one making solid contact as nine players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Ramon Hinijosa, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one run and one RBI.
Meanwhile, Del Campo posted their closest victory since April 13th on Friday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Placer 4-2. The game was the first time the Cougars have beaten the Hillmen on their field since March 8, 2025.
Lorenzo Vega looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single hit and allowed only one earned run over four innings pitched.
At the plate, Kaden Keifer and Landen Hill did most of the damage at the plate: Keifer went 1-for-3 with one home run, while Hill went 2-for-4 with two runs and one stolen base. Del Campo is 6-3 when Hill posts two or more runs, but 5-16 otherwise. AJ Paulsen was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one RBI.
Central Catholic's victory bumped their record up to 22-6. As for Del Campo, their win bumped their record up to 11-19.
Del Campo's hitters will have their work cut out for them on Tuesday. Central Catholic has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.3 strikeouts per game.
