The Ripon Indians will face off against the Atwater Falcons at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Ripon is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.6 runs per game this season.

Frank Carter-Castro made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out seven over four innings pitched. He also tossed no walks, which is notable because Ripon is 8-4 when he allows at most two walks, but 2-4 otherwise. Carter-Castro was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one RBI.
Atwater hadn't beaten Patterson on the road since April 14, 2022 but that history sure didn't bother them on Tuesday. The Falcons walked away with a 5-1 victory over the Tigers.
Atwater also got a great performance from Julian Madriz as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out eight over 5.2 innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts Madriz has posted since back in April of 2025.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Isaiah Navarro, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. Andres Reyna was another key player, going 3-for-4 with one double.
Atwater kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Patterson only managed four.
Ripon's record is now 10-8. As for Atwater, their record now sits at 12-4-1.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Wednesday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Ripon has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 8.3 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Atwater struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 7.4 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
